Since 2001, the ONELOVE brand has encompassed the mix of clubs, festivals, music, DJs and culture that defines todays EDM scene in Australia. From developing artists and DJs via a decade in weekly national club nights and special events to producing Australia’s largest dance festival STEREOSONIC, and now ONELOVE RECORDINGS AUSTRALIA label – a dominate force on the ARIA club chart with releases by Kaskade, Avicii, Dragonette, Nicky Romero and Morgan Page and a compilation series mixed by the likes of Calvin Harris, Benny Benassi, Crookers and The Bloody Beetroots. In a nutshell – ONELOVE IS DANCE!

Keeping in this tradition of discovering and developing new talent, ONELOVE reaches out to bedroom and pro producers alike with the ONELOVE RMX SERIES – a competition designed to give YOU the opportunity to remix and re-invent tracks by the worlds hottest artists and the chance of being globally discovered!

For a bedroom producer it doesn’t get bigger than this – ONELOVE RMX SERIES begins with a bang: RMX:01 AVICII! And if the chance to remix a track by the worlds hottest EDM artist isn’t enough, how do these prizes stack up: In addition to your remix being officially released and added to ONELOVE’s end of year SONIC BOOM BOX compilation, the RMX:01 winner will also receive the incredible new Pioneer RMX 1000 unit (the buzz piece of tek at this years IMS conference in Ibiza!) and a pair of the latest Pioneer HDJ2000 Headphones signed by Avicii himself!

All YOU have to do is head to facebook.com/onelove – download the parts, remix the track, upload and get your friends to vote on your remix. Remixes will be shortlisted based on a combination of votes and industry judging. Talent knows no genre so your remix can be any style you wish – so GO BIG and GET HEARD!!!

PRIZES:

Prizes fall under the following two major categories:

(i) Australian Remix Winner (ii) International Remix Winner

Australian Prize:

• Winning Australian Remix will have their remix officially released by ONELOVE RECORDINGS AUSTRALIA

• Winning Australian Remix added to ONELOVE SONIC BOOM BOX compilation.

• Australian Remix Winner will also receive 1 x Pioneer RMX 1000, 1 x Pioneer HDJ2000 Headphones.

 

International Prize:

• International Remix Winner will have their remix officially released by ONELOVE RECORDINGS AUSTRALIA.

HOW TO ENTER:

• Go to onelove.com.au/remix

• Click ‘LIKE’ to access the RMX:01 Facebook App.

• Fill out the registration form to download Remix Parts. If you are having trouble downloading remix assets email bugs@socialhousemedia.com

( note: international entries please select “OUTSIDE AUSTRALIA” in STATE field)

• Submissions cut off is Saturday 30th of June at 11:59

• Entries should be submitted ONLY ONCE via the electronic entry form on ONELOVE:RMX Soundcloud Dropbox (soundcloud.com/groups/onelove-rmx-comp/dropbox)

OTHER STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOW:

• Competition is open to all ages!  

• Remix Submissions should be in MP3 format and less than 20MB

• Remixes should use parts from the original track

• Don’t even think about using samples unless you have them cleared!

• Remix submissions will be shortlisted via industry panel

• Voting will be for Australian Remixes only.

• Voting will commence via Facebook Application on 5pm EST, 4 July 2012 and finish 8pm EST, 31 July 2012.

• International Remix winner will be chosen by industry panel

• Winners will be notified via email.

• Decisions of the judges are final in all matters relating to the contest.

VOTING WILL BE BASED ON:

• Number of votes

• Originality

• Technical ability of the maker

• Overall positive reflection of industry panel (hint: If you want to stand out PLEASE BE ORIGINAL! )

•  Please Note: “Plays / Favourites / Comments” on your personal Soundcloud account do not count towards competition votes.
